Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Cuinse (“we,” “us,” or “Cuinse”) builds Stages — personal presence pages — for creators. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It applies to everyone who uses cuinse.com, including creators with a Studio and anyone who visits a Stage.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign up with a password, a securely hashed version of it — we never store your password in plain text, and we can’t see it either.
Information from Google Sign-In
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us. We use this only to create and authenticate your Cuinse account and to pre-fill your profile so you don’t have to retype it. See Section 3 for full details on how we handle this specifically.
Your Stage and Studio content
Your username, display name, bio, links, scene and theme choices, and any other content you add to your Studio. This is content you create and control.
Usage and analytics data
We collect page views and link click counts on your Stage, along with general, non-precise location (city/country level, derived from IP address — we don’t store full IP addresses long-term) and coarse device/browser type. This powers the Signal analytics shown to creators about their own Stage.
Visitor messages
If a creator has messaging enabled, visitors can send them a message. A name or contact link is optional — messages can be sent anonymously. We store the message content and, if provided, the sender’s name/link, so the creator can read and respond to it.
Payment information
Subscription and Cue payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly under its own security and privacy practices.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. How we use information
- To create, operate, and secure your account
- To display your Stage to visitors as you’ve configured it
- To show you Signal analytics about your own Stage
- To process subscription billing and Cue purchases
- To send essential account emails — confirmation, password reset, billing receipts
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms
- To improve Cuinse based on aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising, and we don’t run ads on Cuinse at all.
3. Google user data specifically
When you use “Continue with Google,” we receive your name, email address, and profile photo through Google’s OAuth service. Here’s exactly what we do — and don’t do — with it:
- We use it solely to create and authenticate your Cuinse account, and to pre-fill your display name and avatar.
- We do not use it for advertising or marketing profiling.
- We do not share it with third parties beyond the service providers listed in Section 4, who process it only to help us operate Cuinse.
- We do not use it to train machine learning or AI models.
- We retain it only as long as your account is active, or as described in Section 6.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can review or revoke Cuinse’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account security settings.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and Stage content within 30 days, except where we’re required to retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Delete your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
To exercise any of these, email us at thecuinse@gmail.com— we’ll respond as quickly as we can.
7. Children's privacy
Cuinse is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country’s law, if higher). We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll remove it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.
9. International users
Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using Cuinse, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Cuinse evolves. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or with a notice on the site before they take effect.
